Apple Day 18 October 2025
We celebrated our second Apple Day at the community orchard with a mix
of family friendly activities.
The event included:
Apple tasting – with apples from the orchard – comparing Ananas Reinette, Duck’s Bill, Captain Kidd, Laxton’s Superb and more.
Juicing – we pressed juice from local apples.
Cakes – our rather famous cakes and bakes provided by Tanya from Scones Plus More were on offer!
Trail – a fun trail to learn more about our community orchard.
We had such a lovely Apple Day! Many people came, apple juicing in full action, cake and music and the mayor came too. A few new members sponsored a tree. What a wonderful day!
