Mid January 2026. On a not too cold Saturday afternoon we all came together for our first Wassail event. Candles and torches were lit, mulled cider heated up, apple cake prepared, green headdresses made and our oldest tree was dressed up in fairy lights to get blessed representatively for the whole orchard. The local Morris group cheered us up with their dancing and singing and eventually made us all walk around the orchard towards our prepared tree. After a cacophony of loud noises, rattling and whistling our tree was blessed with cider and toast and the wishes for a prosperous new growing season. Thank you so much to everyone who participated!
